Budget Meeting Tuesday, October 12th

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, OCTOBER 12, 2010 at 5P for their regular monthly meeting. During the discussion the 2011 Budget will be discussed and the annual assessment set. Please plan to attend to share your input.

Aloha Members,

On Tuesday, July 13, 2010, the Board of Directors agreed to accept nominations from members interested in filling the vacant director seat from August 2010 until the elections of 2011. Nominees are encouraged to submit their name, or the name of another member [with their consensus signed on the nomination] to the Office no later than 4PM, Friday, July 30, 2010. All nominees thereafter should be present for interviewing at the August regular board meeting. The Board will review all nominations, interview nominees and then decide who will serve at the August meeting.

Water Aerobics & Stretch and Tone Updates

Bring your own noodle, sun screen, hat

Stretch and Tone 10 a.m. Maikoiko Street

Bring your own mat, weights, big resistance ball if you have them…

Both classes will have a small supply of exercise items to borrow if you just want to try the class before purchasing your own equipment. The pool class will be progressive in nature…starting out slow and gearing up to full energy on the first month…so start now if you have not been exercising regularly in the pool.

Board Sets New Meeting Time

Effective January 16, 2010, the Board of Directors for 2010 have changed the meeting time for the regular monthly meetings.

Neighbor Safety

In recent weeks there has been an increased incidents of gunfire in and around Hawaiian Shores Community. Some of the gunfire has come from Hawaiian Beaches side, or at least that is what has been reported to the police, and some from our side. In particular, the night of December 10, 2009, there was heavier caliber weaponry being discharged. Any munitions discharged must land at some point and with the sound of high velocity munitions last evening it was cause for alarm that one of our dear members may fall victim to gunfire gone awry. In addition, it has been reported by some members there were individuals walking around last evening during this gunfire. The time was approximately 930P.

It does not matter which portion of our neighborhood is victimized by crime we are all neighbors and members and should be concerned for the safety and well being of all. If you hear or notice suspicious activity please contact the police.
